Classroom Chronicles: Part 4
This happened during after school tutoring recently.
Kid: Ms. Williams, someone else was afraid to ask you…but…are you pregnant?
Me: *blank stare* No, I’m not, However, clearly I look like it since you felt the need to ask.
Kid: I didn’t think you were, but the person who really wants to know said that you keep wearing black and you’ve been sick all week.
Me: *blank stare*
Kid: Pregnant people wear black and they’re always sick.
Me: No. Ms. Williams is not pregnant.
Kid: You should have a baby, it would be cute.
Me: That’s not how this works. Stop asking me questions and do your homework.
