Kid: Ms. Williams, are you rich?
Me: nope
Kid: What? You don’t live in a mansion?
Me: nope
Kid: …with a swimming pool?
Me: Where are all of these questions coming from?
Kid: *whispers* Well I was told that you’re rich and you live in a mansion and you have a swimming pool and a basketball court in your house and you have a shed where you like to be alone. And that you’re pregnant.
Me: nope!
Kid: I feel lied to. Are you sure you aren’t rich?
Me: Yes.
Kid: Not pregnant either? They said that’s why you were out of school because of morning sickness.
Me: No, I’m fine. Just regular sick. Who told you all of this?
Kid: I’m not supposed to tell.
Me: *smiling* okay
